Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionDRMP's Surveying & Mapping/Geospatial Division is HIRING! We're looking for experienced Utility Locators (Subsurface Utility Engineering - SUE) to join our Charlotte Office.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include•  Obtain a clear understanding of ASCE 38-02 standards and Quality Levels and their applications
•  Provide underground utility flagging “designation” with proficiency utilizing ground penetrating radar and electromagnet equipment and other geophysical means.
•  Designate all utility line types of conductive or non-conductive materials including water, sewer, gas, electric, fiber optic, PVC and all other underground facilities that would affect excavation of a site
•  Mark utilities with flags and/or paint and produce a sketch of results for future use by the client.
•  Operate vacuum excavation truck and other related equipment or “hand dig” to verify utility characteristics.
•  Assist with maintenance of vehicle/trucks, equipment, and work sites
•  Research all utilities that may be on a site prior to entering the site
•  Exercise extreme caution near or around any utility facility and follow all applicable job site safety parameters
What you'll need•  High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school
•  Experience in using electromagnetic and geophysical designating technologies is a plus
•  Basic computer skills and can learn and understand new software.
•  Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required. 
•  Ability to travel (If Needed - Up to 50% of the time) 
•  Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on the project.
