Job Description:
We are currently seeking experienced Structural Welders to join our team at Blount Island Naval Base. This role involves performing high-quality welding on structural steel components in support of military and defense-related operations. Candidates must be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working in a secure, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural welding using FCAW, SMAW, and/or GMAW processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to specifications
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
• Conduct inspections of completed welds to verify compliance
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a structural welder (2+ years )
• Proficiency with structural welding techniques and equipment
• Ability to pass welding tests as required
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and OSHA standards
• Reliable transportation and punctuality

Security Requirement (Important):
This position is located on a secure military installation.
All candidates must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and obtain base access clearance. A clean background is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Capable of working in confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditions
• Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
