Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Structural Welder role in Gresham, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest Our quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of structural steel components in accordance with blueprints, welding symbols, and project specifications.
· Fit, align, and assemble metal parts to precise tolerances using jigs, fixtures, and measuring instruments.
· Inspect completed welds for strength, appearance, and compliance with standards and tolerances.
· Operate and maintain welding and cutting equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
· Work from detailed fabrication drawings to ensure accurate dimensions and assembly.
· Follow all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe material handling.
· Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and quality control teams to meet project deadlines and maintain consistent production flow.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient environment.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified welding program .
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in structural steel welding or fabrication.
· Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
· Familiarity with AWS D1.1 or similar welding codes .
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
· Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced shop environment.
· Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
