We're seeking an experienced Structural Test Engineer to join our highly productive team, working in a busy environment with high throughput!\n\nSalary: Circa £52,500 depending on experience\n\nDynamic (hybrid) working: 4 days per week on-site due to workload classification\n\nSecurity Clearance: British or a Dual UK with British citizenship\n\nRestrictions and/or limitations relating to and/or rights to work may apply. Good communication skills are essential, working in a cross-functional team to deliver tests to high standards, meeting tight deadlines.\n\nIn this role, you will:\nBe responsible for the setup and operation of the Load Control System and Tensile Test Machines\nCalibrate, setup and install a variety of transducers, including Linear Variable Displacement Transducers, Load Cells and Strain Gauges\nBe familiar with Data Acquisition Systems and set up appropriately for test work\nBe involved in helping the customer to define test requirements within the scope of the Lab capabilities\nProduce estimated costings to the Customer, working to adhere to delivering OTOCOQ\nDesign, procure and manufacture suitable fixturing to interface with test hardware\nWrite detailed test reports for both internal and external customers.What we're looking for from you:\n\nEssential\nHND/HNC in a STEM field, or vocational equivalent\nStrong technical background in Instrumentation and Load Control Systems\nExperience with the use of hydraulic and electric actuators\nAbility to develop and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholdersDesirable\nExperience with installation of strain gauges on test hardware\nFamiliarity of calibration processes\nPrevious Crane/FLT experience, training will be provided\nAGILE/LEAN Six Sigma Practitioner\nBasic coding experience#LI-CT1
