We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Structural Technician III to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will leverage your expertise to assemble and fabricate major structures for advanced aerospace vehicles. Your precision and attention to detail will be essential in building the future of flight, ensuring that every component meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform major assembly structures and minor part-fitting operations including filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
- Align parts and assemblies on jigs using templates and fixtures, ensuring precise configuration.
- Measure parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify critical dimensions.
- Modify incomplete and complete assemblies, incorporating engineering changes directly into the structure.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Read, interpret, and apply technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals to complete installations while maintaining strict edge distance and pitch requirements.
- Install various fasteners, including rivets and hi-locks.
- Perform structural repair and refinishing techniques, such as airframe corrosion removal.
- Inspect structures and equipment as part of a safety-sensitive team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5 or more years of progressive experience in structural assembly and part-fitting.

- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
- Must possess and maintain a personal set of tools in good working order.
- Proven ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
- Demonstrable experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting, and repair/refinishing techniques.
- Experience installing fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.
Qualifications
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, NASA, or the US Military.
- Ability to travel as required by project needs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
