We are currently hiring for Structural Stick Welders in Ashland, VA. As a structural stick welder you will be responsible for fabricating and welding structural components. Structural Stick Welder Responsibilities:

• Perform stick welding (SMAW) on structural steel components
• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
• Inspect finished welds for quality and precision, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
• Conduct tests to assess the integrity of welds (e.g., visual inspection, non-destructive testing).
• Operate welding equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance as necessary.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior welders as needed.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, guidelines, and best practices.

Structural Stick Welder Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience as a structural stick welder
• Experience with TIG welding a plus
• Ability to pass a weld test
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications
• Valid Driver's License
• Your own reliable transportation

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Full-time
