    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Review all contract documents for determination of the scope material, including coordination with the sales department on turn over process.
    • Coordinate the incorporation of shop and erection drawings.
    • Process RFIs, including writing, reviewing, modifying, confirming legitimacy and communicating with customers.
    • Responsible for reviewing shop and erection drawings prior to distribution and constantly communicating the importance of maintaining the schedule.
    • Responsible for coordinating with production control for drawing log/load list.
    • Create and maintain the load list for every project assigned and work with detailers of any shop questions and/or missing fabrication files.
    • Evaluate field problems and furnish field work drawing as needed.
    • Consistent communication with the Project Manager on assigned job and alert Project Manager of any additional materials needed.
    • Visit job as necessary and ensure that company interest and project expectations are being met.
    • Manage your time effectively as required to meet project demands.
    • Other duties as assigned by manager.

    Qualifications

    • Prefer Bachelor/undergraduate degree (B.A/B.S.) or equivalent from four college or accredited institution; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Knowledge of AISC, AWS, ASTM, and OSHA requirements, .
    • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
    • Effective communication and strong customer .
    • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
    • Must have strong organizational skills and an ability to write routine reports and correspondence.



    Additional Information

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

    Regularly required to sit, occasionally stands and walks, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.  Regularly required to talk or hear.  Seldom lifts and/or move up to 30 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    General Office and shop, with constant exposure to computer display screen

    Construction jobsite / Hard Hat area

    Travel as necessary for training and jobsite visits required
