LONG-TERM -- WEEKLY PAY -- OVERTIME!
- PAY: $24.00/hr
- HOURS: Shifts will be 10-hour workdays, 6 days per week (~60 hours/week)
- SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Saturday; 6:00am – 4:30pm
- START DATE: ASAP
- DURATION: Temp-To-Hire
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in constructing structural metal products by laying out, positioning, aligning, and fitting together fabricated parts according to blueprints and specifications. Safety and quality are top priorities, and you will be trained to operate overhead cranes, cutting torches, and heating equipment properly.

Responsibilities:
- Lay out, position, align, and fit fabricated parts per blueprint and layout specifications
- Operate overhead cranes, cutting torches, and heating equipment safely
- Perform complex heat corrections and check camber/sweep tolerances of beams and steel shapes
- Make corrections in compliance with codes, standards, and customer requirements
- Set up complex jigs or assemblies as needed
- Interpret and apply information from complex documents and drawings
- Identify and correct potential hazards to maintain a safe workplace
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of work area
- Follow quality control procedures to ensure finished products meet specifications
Qualifications:
- Superior level layout and math skills
- Complete understanding of pre-heat functions
- Ability to set up and operate a track torch
- Must pass all tack tests for F.A.C.W. (Flux Core) welding
- Ability to interpret blueprints and follow technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Positive attitude and effective communication with co-workers, clients, and supervisors
- Ability to comply with company safety policies and procedures
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to the job site
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required
