Our Firm

Waypoint Seismic is a growing structural engineering firm located in downtown Vancouver, Washington. We specialize in structural design of buildings, infrastructure, and other structures. Our vision is to cultivate long-lasting relationships with our clients and to provide a positive and supportive environment for the growth of our people.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college is required.
  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience .
  • Willingness to work in the office. Hybrid work from home may be considered depending on experience.
  • Knowledge of FEA, ASCE 41, Building Codes, Revit, and AutoCAD .
  • Interested in a teaching focused environment.
  • Professional Engineer license or ability to get a license within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Exact responsibilities will depend on experience. Below are some of the responsibilities that will be assigned/trained to perform.

  • Technical resource to other engineers.
  • Technical review of calculations and drawings.
  • Preparation of drawings, specifications, computer modeling, and calculations.
  • Develop and implement leadership within the office.
  • Client communication.
  • Project planning and scheduling.
  • Assistance in preparing proposals.
  • Standards development.
