TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Analyzing complex structural ironwork projects and recommending alternative strategies to complete the same project
  • Reviewing project status reports prepared by foremen and reallocating resources to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and code standards specific to the structural ironwork trade, including OSHA standards
  • Maintain Safety Accountability Procedures.
  • Assure that a high quality of work is being maintained.
  • Reviewing individual crew daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for compliance, and attending weekly crew safety meeting to make sure all employees are engaged in conversation
  • Have good supervisor skills for managing crews.
  • Insure that Foreman complete Craft Employee Evaluations.
  • Promote a strong Safety culture within the crews supervised.
  • Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take
    all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.

      SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

      • Minimum of four (4) years or more of refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience.
      • Knowledge of structural iron repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance methods, practices, and procedures
      • Must be able to pass the Craft Skills Test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.
      • Must have a good understanding of Matrix Service policies and procedures.
      • Completed the Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training, S.T.A.R.T. Class and Client / Site specific training.
      • To obtain and maintain an active status within the required drug testing program.
      • Subject to random drug screenings.
