A Day in the Life
- Start by reviewing blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan your approach.
- Fabricate and assemble structural parts in steel and aluminum using MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Perform detailed inspections of completed welds to confirm accuracy and conformance to specifications.
- Keep welding machines, torches, and hand tools in peak condition through routine maintenance.
- Work side-by-side with teammates to hit project milestones while upholding a safe, tidy work area.
- Follow all established safety procedures and protective practices, every step of the way.
- Join ongoing training and development to sharpen your skills and expand your knowledge base.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational welding training is a plus.
- Demonstrated welding experience, ideally with a focus on structural work.
- Strong command of welding techniques and safety protocols.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings with accuracy.
- Keen attention to detail and solid problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort working independently as well as within a team environment.
- Welding certifications (AWS, ASME) but not required.
