This is a leadership role with direct impact on department direction, staffing, and project delivery across a diverse portfolio of clients and sectors.

Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and manage all structural engineering activities for the department
- Produce working drawings and specifications for projects within the office
- Assist other engineering managers at additional office locations as needed
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering on long-range planning and department objectives
- Ensure structural engineering services meet professional standards, client requirements, and company objectives
- Provide quality oversight and senior technical leadership on complex projects
- Interface with Project Managers to determine staffing needs
- Participate in proposal presentations and business development activities
- Mentor, recruit, and develop engineering staff

Requirements

- 4-year civil or structural engineering degree
- 16+ years of structural engineering experience in building and facility design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required -- California
- Proficiency in structural engineering design software
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience managing or mentoring a team of engineers

- Base salary: $170,000 - $225,000
