POSITION OVERVIEW:

Lead the structural subsystem design, analysis, and integration for modular data center platforms. Ensure structural resilience, manufacturability, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborate across disciplines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of scalable and safe structural solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead structural design and validation of modular units, foundations, steel/concrete structures, equipment supports, and lifting/hoisting features.

Drive structural Basis of Design (BoD), prototypes, and template specifications for modular platforms.

Perform structural analysis: load calculations, seismic studies, and foundation assessments.

Manage release of civil/structural design packages, RFPs for fabrication departments, suppliers, consultants, and compliance documentation.

Collaborate with MEP, mechanical, controls, and electrical teams to ensure structural integration aligns with other subsystems.

Lead initiatives to improve cost, quality, schedule, and standardization across structural modules.

Oversee coordination with external manufacturing partners, civil consultants, and contractors during design and construction reviews.

Lead structural assessments, lifting/install evaluations, and compliance with local codes.

Contribute to Product Engineering Management System (PEMS): participate in design reviews, change governance, and structural standards documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s ).

Minimum 7 years of structural engineering experience, including at least 3 years in lead roles within industrial or modular construction environments.

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with NCEES registration and the ability to obtain licensure in any U.S. state.

In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles: steel, concrete, timber design, load/stress analysis.

Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Robot), and CAD tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Tekla).

Experience designing foundations, superstructures, lifting points, enclosures, and structural supports.

Ability to perform seismic, wind, and load case analysis for mission-critical facilities.

Skilled in preparing and reviewing structural Technical Design Previews, BoDs, RFPs, and consultant packages.

Strong familiarity with structural codes and standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, UBC, Uptime Institute Tier).

Experience in modular structural design, including repetitive unitization and templating.

Proven ability to coordinate with MEP integrations and external civil/architectural partners.

Exposure to ERP/PLM systems and experience with BOM structuring for structural components.

Managerial & Leadership Skills:

Experience managing structural engineering teams or integration across multiple subsystems.

Experience managing Multisite teams

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, serving as the structural authority during technical reviews.

Strong communication skills to interface with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and AHJs.

Demonstrated ownership mindset—drive solutions from design through construction and commissioning.

Capability to mentor junior engineers and enforce quality and accountability within the team.

Aptitude to balance technical rigor with cost, schedule, and constructability metrics aligned with program goals.
