Inspired Designs Engineering and Architecture (IDEA) is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to help advance the future of modular and off-site construction.

This is an opportunity to apply your engineering expertise to innovative building systems while collaborating with engineering, architecture, and manufacturing teams to turn complex challenges into real-world solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

• Design structural steel, cold-formed steel, hybrid systems, and modular chassis.

• Perform structural calculations for building, transportation, lifting, and installation loads.

• Develop engineering drawings, calculations, connections, and specifications.

• Support building code compliance, state approvals, and third-party reviews.

• Improve designs for manufacturing efficiency, material optimization, and installation.

• Partner with manufacturing teams on product development, quality, and continuous improvement.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.

• Experience designing structures for commercial buildings.

• Strong knowledge of structural steel and applicable building codes.

• PE license and multi-state engineering licensure are highly desirable.

• Experience in modular, prefabricated, or off-site construction is a plus.
