Responsibilities
· Lead and develop the engineering and drafting department through growth and continuous
improvement.
· Lead structural engineering design efforts from concept through construction administration.
· Design and engineering of structural systems, including but not limited to steel structures, foundation systems and CFM.
· Load calculations.
· Provide PE stamp design calculations and drawings.
· Develop proposals for structural engineering projects.
· Project management.
· Customer and Client relations’ development.
· Develop drawings in Revit, AutoCAD, RISA 3D.
· Familiarity with structural steel detailing software, SDS2 is .
· BIM Modeling
· Review and maintain project documentation including but not limited to - drawings, specifications, submittals, budgets, invoicing, and change order tracking.
· Develop, maintain, and strengthen positive relationships with customer representatives.
· Organize/Lead Project Kick Off Meetings – plan the work, work the plan.
· Track project schedule progress.

· Be a Leader of Safety Culture - support Safety Committee participation and ensure safety is never compromised.

Qualifications:
· B.S. degree in civil engineering from an accredited school with a major in Structural. A master’s degree in civil engineering with a major in Structural would be .
· PE License in Georgia or the ability to obtain one. PE licenses in adjacent states would be .
· 8-10 years’ experience in industrial engineering with some commercial experience a plus.
· Able to produce and check and correct engineering drawings.
· Familiarity with structural analysis programs such as RISA 3D or STAAD.
· Understanding the steps needed to complete the construction of a project from start to finish.
· Able to use Bluebeam for material takeoff, markups and editing documents.
· Familiar with REVIT and BIM and 3D models.
· Understanding of structural steel, concrete, masonry and wood design.
· Ability to review and approve shop drawings.
· Understanding of the steel, stainless steel and aluminum welding codes.
· Ability to design concrete foundations.
· Familiar with ASCE 7 wind loading, seismic loading, roof loading.
· Able to apply IBC requirements to active projects.
