Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Proficiency with U.S. building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC)
  • Experience with structural analysis software, including Navisworks and Bluebeam
  • Strong experience designing and analyzing steel and concrete structures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading small teams

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license
  • Experience in semiconductor or industrial facilities
  • Experience with STAAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam

Position Summary

The Structural Engineering Professional will be an integral member of the design team, responsible for performing structural analysis and design across projects. This role requires strong collaboration with Structural Leads, Engineers, Designers, and cross-functional disciplines.

Responsibilities include developing design concepts, completing analysis and design, and ensuring structural requirements are clearly communicated through design documents and models.

This position requires a strong foundation in structural engineering principles, knowledge of U.S. building codes (including seismic provisions), and an understanding of how structural design integrates with other disciplines. Candidates may serve as a Lead Structural Engineer on mid-sized projects or as a Sub Lead on larger efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural engineering analysis and design with minimal supervision
    • Plan and execute work requiring independent judgment in evaluating and applying engineering techniques
    • Apply sound engineering judgment and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of lateral design (wind and seismic) and applicable building codes
  • Ensure quality and attention to detail
    • Review and check own work thoroughly
    • Perform calculation checks for other engineers
  • Manage workload and ownership of deliverables
    • Take full responsibility for assigned scope, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality alignment
    • Define scope and forecast level of effort
    • Identify and escalate scope changes as needed
    • Work efficiently with strong attention to accuracy and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate and seek guidance when needed
    • Recognize when support is required and engage peers or senior engineers
  • Develop leadership capabilities
    • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
    • Contribute to improving workflows, tools, and systems
    • Support adoption of new technologies

Working Conditions

  • Ability to perform occasional field walks (may include climbing ladders, crawling, or extended standing/walking)
  • Must maintain reliable internet service for remote work
