Duration: 3 Year Contract
The Planet Group is seeking a Structural Engineer with experience supporting nuclear power plant modification projects. This role involves performing technical reviews and serving in a Responsible Design Engineer capacity to support large-scale capital improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Owner Acceptance Reviews to ensure engineering deliverables meet project and regulatory requirements
Serve as the Responsible Design Engineer (RDE) for structural scope on assigned projects
Support nuclear plant modification projects, including design changes and upgrades
Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, operations, and project management
Provide technical guidance and resolve engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
5–10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on nuclear or power projects
Demonstrated experience supporting plant modification or capital projects
Strong understanding of structural design principles and analysis
Experience performing technical reviews and design approvals
Ability to work in a highly regulated environment
Qualifications
Experience serving as a Responsible Design Engineer (RDE)
Familiarity with nuclear industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ACI, AISC)
Prior experience with large-scale capital upgrade projects
