Role Summary
The Structural Engineer (SE) will lead the structural design of customized AC/DC Power Modules, IT Modules, and modular Data Center solutions for IT, Telecom, and Industrial markets. This role supports pre-sales and post-sales activities, ensures compliance with local and international building codes, and works closely with manufacturing, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design activities from concept through construction for modular data center and power solutions
- Develop structural designs compliant with local and international building codes (seismic, thermal, structural)
- Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, thermal, and controls engineering teams
- Prepare and review schematic, detailed, and construction drawings
- Design foundations, anchoring systems, lifting points, and structural components
- Review and approve structural submittals and material specifications
- Support factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT)
- Provide technical support during fabrication, construction, and on-site repairs
- Ensure quality control and support vendor and supplier coordination
- Participate in customer discussions to deliver optimized and innovative solutions
- Travel to fabrication sites for design validation and workmanship reviews (as needed)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of structural/mechanical engineering experience
- Knowledge of building codes and structural design standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
- Strong experience interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills
- Detail-oriented with strong project management capabilities
- PE License – but not required
Skills
- Experience with data centers, modular buildings, or industrial infrastructure
- Familiarity with fabrication, welding, inspection, and quality processes
- Ability to deliver cost-effective and innovative design solutions
