About the Role
As a Structural Engineer, you will work closely with architects, designers, contractors, and clients to bring high‑quality building projects to life. This firm works on a wide range of structures-including commercial buildings, schools, multifamily housing, hotels, restaurants, banks, and retail spaces-offering you the chance to make a visible impact across the region.
This role includes occasional travel for site visits and client meetings to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design efforts throughout all project phases
- Identify and resolve design challenges with constructable, cost‑effective solutions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop structural concepts, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with internal teams, external suppliers, and manufacturers
- Ensure all structural designs meet company quality standards
- Use engineering software to calculate gravity, lateral, and foundation loads
- Respond to contractor inquiries during construction
- Mentor junior staff and support team development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, or related Engineering field (ABET accredited)
- Structural Professional Engineer (PE) License required (SE a plus)
- 5+ years of post‑graduation structural engineering experience
- Proficiency designing with wood, steel, concrete, and masonry
- Strong understanding of building codes and value engineering
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, Autodesk Revit, and structural design software (Enercalc, RISA, Simpson, Woodworks preferred)
