Job Description

Structural Engineer – Early Career / 1–3 Years’ Experience

Location: Oxford (office-based, 4 days/week)

⏰ Hours: 36 hours over 4 days (flexible start/finish)

Type: Permanent

I’m recruiting on behalf of a well established, small structural engineering consultancy based in Oxford. They specialise in high-end residential, multi-unit developments, conversions, extensions, and non-residential projects, offering early career engineers a chance to gain hands on experience across a variety of technically interesting projects.

The Role:

• Work closely with directors and senior engineers on complex residential and non-residential projects, including high-end homes, schools, and commercial buildings.
• Contribute to structural design, detailing, and Revit/BIM modelling, gaining exposure to steel, timber, masonry, and reinforced concrete.
• Learn in a collaborative, office-based environment, with guidance on professional development and chartership support.

You’ll Need:

• 1–3 years’ experience in structural engineering, ideally with exposure to residential or technically challenging projects.
• Strong attention to detail, motivation, and teamwork skills.
• Local to Oxford or within a reasonable commuting distance.
• Full right to work in UK
