A friendly, wellrespected structural and civil engineering consultancy with an office in Manchester is looking for a Structural Engineer with 2-4 years' experience to join their growing team. The practice is known for delivering practical, efficient and wellconsidered design solutions across sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare and industrial developments.
This position is ideal for a motivated engineer seeking to take greater responsibility, broaden technical skills and work closely within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
The Role
As a Structural Engineer, you will:
Deliver structural design work from early concept through to construction
Produce accurate and compliant design calculations, drawings and technical reports
Collaborate with architects, clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions
Carry out structural analysis and design using industrystandard software
Attend site visits and provide technical support during delivery stages
Support and assist junior team members where appropriate
Contribute to ongoing improvements in design processes and quality
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Holds a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Has 2-4 years' experience within a UK consultancy environment
Is working towards Chartered status (MIStructE or MICE )
Has a good working knowledge of UK design standards and Eurocodes
Is confident with structural design software
Has experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
Enjoys working collaboratively within multidisciplinary design teams
Communicates clearly and effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
