Structural Engineer – Central London

Location: Central London – near London Bridge

I’m currently working with a forward-thinking structural and civil engineering consultancy based near London Bridge, who are looking to add a Structural Engineer to their growing team.

This is a particularly interesting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on refurbishment, retrofit and complex existing structures, rather than purely repetitive new-build schemes.

The role

You’ll be involved in the design and delivery of a varied portfolio of structural projects, with a strong focus on:

Refurbishment and retrofit

Alterations to existing structures

Structural assessments and investigations

Cut-and-carve projects

Residential and commercial developments

Extensions and change-of-use projects

New-build projects where appropriate

Working closely with architects, contractors, developers and other consultants

Taking projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery

There will be plenty of opportunity to get involved technically, take ownership of projects and develop your client-facing skills as you progress.

What they’re looking for

Degree qualified Structural Engineer

Consultancy experience

Experience working on refurbishment, retrofit or existing structures

Good understanding of structural design principles

Experience with steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures

Strong communication and project management skills

Someone ambitious who wants to continue developing their career
