Full-service land development firm seeks a CA-licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to design structures and improvements in compliance with state and local regulations. In this role, you’ll lead complex structural calculations and design for wood, concrete, and steel structures.

Location: Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, or Livermore
Salary Range: $90,000-170,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare permit-ready structural design packages, including plans and calculations, for permit submissions
  • Conduct site evaluations to assess existing conditions and ensure compliance with approved design plans
  • Perform engineering and design services as the licensed PE of record
  • Create structural drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Draft professional service agreements for structural design services
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and fellow engineers throughout all project phases
  • Perform construction observations, inspections, and provide final letters of compliance
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Active PE license in California
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or related field
  • 1–2 years of experience as a licensed PE
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and related tools
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated, collaborative; thrives in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
