Structural Engineer

£32,000 – £40,000 + benefits
We are working with a growing structural engineering consultancy in Leeds that is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer as part of continued workload growth. This role suits an engineer seeking strong technical exposure, hands-on project involvement, and a clear route toward chartership within a smaller, personable practice.
The Business
This independent consultancy delivers structural engineering, civil engineering, and party wall services across the residential and commercial sectors. Their workload ranges from domestic refurbishments and extensions through to large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments, offering engineers genuine project variety and responsibility.
Structural Engineer Role
As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in:
Structural design and analysis of buildings using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
Producing calculations, drawings, and technical reports
Working directly with clients, architects, and contractors
Supporting project delivery from concept through construction
Contributing to the commercial and technical success of projects
Structural Engineer Requirements
1–3+ years’ experience as a Structural Engineer within a UK consultancy
BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
Working knowledge of UK building regulations and British Standards
Experience with common structural design software
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Based within commutable distance of Leeds or willing to relocate
