We are seeking a Offshore Structural (Jacket) Engineer for a 6-month assignment, based in Leatherhead, Surrey On Offer Competitive hourly pay rate Outside IR35 work engagement Working 3 days in the office, 2 days from home NB . We can only consider candidates with the right to live and work in the UK Purpose of the Role As a Technical Advisor - Offshore structural, you will support the lead related preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned: Key Responsibilities / Skills Design basis, material and construction specifications Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (inservice) phase (inplace, fatigue, seismic), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, launch, upending and setdown) and accidental phase (boat impact, ALE earthquake, pushover). Perform detailed design of jacket appurtenances Review analyses/ calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies Liaise with other disciplines, client and 3rd party contractors Coordinate with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets. Degree in Structural Engineering Design Minimum experience of 12 years having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule. Proficient user of SESAM GENIE and SESAM suite of software Perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable. In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902 and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must.
