About the Role
Were hiring a Structural Engineer on behalf of our client, a well-established structural engineering firm with a growing Forensics Practice in California. This role is ideal for a California-licensed PE with extensive experience in structural design, damage assessments, and insurance-funded reconstruction projects. Youll play a key role in renovation and repair work on residential and light commercial structures across Southern California.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing structures and create jurisdiction-compliant repair and reconstruction plans
- Collaborate with contractors, adjusters, and owners to develop effective solutions
- Lead fast-paced CD development including structural and basic MEP/architectural coordination
- Conduct damage assessments and prepare technical reports and justifications
- Travel to sites and represent the firm with clients, partners, and stakeholders
What Were Looking For
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience including forensic and renovation projects
- California Civil PE license required; SE license a plus
- Strong knowledge of CalGreen, Title 24, ADA, WUI, and California permitting processes
- Experience managing $500K+ in annual project revenue
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and client relationship skills
