Job Description
Location: London \n Salary: £45,000 per year\n Contract Type: Permanent\n About the Role:\n Are you a motivated Structural Engineer looking to accelerate your career in a dynamic consultancy environment? Join a forward-thinking design team in our Central London office, working on diverse projects across commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors. You’ll gain hands-on experience in structural design, calculations, and site inspections while working towards your Chartership (IStructE/ICE) with dedicated mentorship and CPD support.\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nApply and develop your knowledge of structural analysis and design using concrete, steel, masonry, timber, and other common engineering materials.\nPrepare design calculations, drawings, and reports under the supervision of Senior Engineers.\nApply Eurocodes, British Standards, CDM Regulations, and other relevant design codes.\nSupport Senior Engineers throughout project lifecycles, from commencement to completion.\nProduce clear hand-drawn sketches and annotated drawings.\nUndertake site inspections under supervision as required.\nCommunicate effectively with team members, clients, and other construction professionals.\nAttend project meetings with senior colleagues.\nMaintain CPD/IPD requirements for Graduate Membership of the IStructE/ICE.\nWork towards Chartership with structured mentor support.Essential Skills & Experience:\n\nBEng/MEng (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline from a JBM-accredited course.\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a consultancy practice .\nStrong structural analysis skills and knowledge of Eurocodes.\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, and Bluebeam.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office software.\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Why Join Us:\n\nCompetitive salary: £45,000\nClear career progression towards Chartership\nExposure to diverse projects and materials\nMentorship and structured professional development\nCollaborative, innovative team environmentApply Today to take the next step in your structural engineering career and develop your skills in a supportive, challenging, and rewarding consultancy setting
