Job Description

Overview\nWe are working with a leading specialist contractor delivering façade and cladding projects across the UK. They are looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to support the design and assessment of temporary works across multiple live projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Design, review and approve temporary works including scaffolding, hoarding and access systems\n\n * Carry out structural assessments and wind load calculations on façade systems\n\n * Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards (BS5975, Eurocodes, CDM Regulations)\n\n * Assess impact of temporary works on existing structures and load paths\n\n * Produce clear calculations, technical reports and design documentation\n\n * Provide technical support to site teams and attend project/design meetings\n\n * Liaise with internal teams, clients and external consultants\n\nRequirements\n\n * Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering\n\n * 4–8+ years’ experience in structural or temporary works design\n\n * Strong knowledge of temporary works, scaffolding and load assessments\n\n * Experience with wind load calculations and façade-related structures\n\n * Familiar with relevant UK regulations and standards (BS, Eurocodes, CDM)\n\n * Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g. Robot, SAP2000, STAAD or similar)\n\n * Good communication and ability to manage multiple projects\n\nDesirable\n\n * Experience within façade / cladding projects\n\n * Chartered or working towards (IStructE / ICE)\n\n * Experience supporting site-based activities\n\nWhy Apply?\n\n * Work on complex, high-value façade projects\n\n * Strong pipeline of secured work\n\n * Opportunity to progress within a growing specialist contractor
