What You Will Be Doing
- Examine and analyze complex metallic and composite structures and systems.
- Design and develop new products and processes throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Perform static and dynamic analyses to validate structural integrity and performance.
- Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary design and development teams to solve challenging engineering problems.
- Author technical substantiation reports to support design certification and review.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience.
- Technical Knowledge:

- Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools.
- Understanding of static and/or dynamic analyses.
Qualifications
- Experience in engineering simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS.
- Ability to perform classical analysis using industry-standard hand calculation methods.
- Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, material and hardware selection, and manufacturing/production processes.
- Experience authoring substantiation reports.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
- Weld analysis experience.
