What You Will Be Doing

• Examine and analyze complex metallic and composite structures and systems.
• Design and develop new products and processes throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Perform static and dynamic analyses to validate structural integrity and performance.
• Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary design and development teams to solve challenging engineering problems.
• Author technical substantiation reports to support design certification and review.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience.
• Technical Knowledge:
• • Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools.
  • Understanding of static and/or dynamic analyses.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS.
• Ability to perform classical analysis using industry-standard hand calculation methods.
• Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, material and hardware selection, and manufacturing/production processes.
• Experience authoring substantiation reports.
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
• Weld analysis experience.
