Structural Engineer – Electrical Power Delivery

 

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join an Electrical Power team! In this role, you will perform structural design and analysis to support power transmission, substation, and industrial infrastructure projects!

Responsibilities

 

As a Structural Engineer on the Electrical Power team, you will lead the design and analysis of steel, concrete, and foundation systems for power transmission, substations, and related facilities. This role involves collaborating with clients, coordinating project schedules and budgets, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout each project’s lifecycle.

 

Duties:

 

  • Perform structural engineering design and analysis, ensuring compliance with AISC, NESC, ACI, and ASCE standards
  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control to deliver projects on time and within scope
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver innovative and constructible solutions
  • Maintain organized project documentation, calculations, and reporting in project management systems

 

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of experience with structural design for power transmission or substation projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Strong expertise in steel, concrete, and foundation design and analysis
  • Ability to conduct field visits, inspections, and site verifications
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Proficiency with Risa3D, PLS Pole, Allpile, and/or MFAD software
  • Familiarity with AISC, NESC, ACI 318, and ASCE 113 standards
