Job Description

Our client is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to a wide range of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects from concept through completion.


The selected individual will play a key role in the structural design process, collaborating with multiple different teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the structural design and analysis of new buildings, additions, and renovations.
  • Prepare framing plans, foundation designs, and detailed structural drawings.
  • Develop and review construction documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
  • Collaborate with architectural, civil, and construction staff to coordinate design efforts and resolve technical challenges.
  • Review and approve supplier and fabricator shop drawings for structural compliance.
  • Estimate materials and labor for self-perform work and coordinate delivery of structural components.
  • Partner with design and project teams to identify value engineering opportunities and optimize building layouts.
  • Interact with clients, consultants, and permitting authorities in support of design and construction activities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within one year.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete and steel structural design.
  • Proficiency in CAD or Tekla; Revit experience .
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, steel erection, and the economics of design.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
