An exciting opportunity to join an award-winning structural and civil engineering consultancy, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across a wide range of sectors including private residential, education, multi-storey housing, hospitality and healthcare. Responsibilities Lead or assist in the structural design of new build and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors. Produce calculations, drawings and specifications in line with British Standards, Eurocodes and client requirements. Liaise effectively with architects, M&E engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to develop and refine structural solutions. Assess structural feasibility, load paths, material selection and buildability considerations. Undertake site visits, inspections and structural assessments as required. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of practice, processes, and standards. Support the company's sustainability objectives through innovation in materials, methods, and design practices. Skills & Experience Requirements Chartered or near-chartered status (ICE or IStructE). Strong foundation in structural engineering principles with 3-5 years' post-graduate experience. Proven experience delivering structural designs in sectors such as residential, education, healthcare, or hospitality. Competent in structural analysis software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, or similar). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Awareness of sustainability, lifecycle impact, and design optimisation. Willingness to conduct site visits and travel when required.
