Role Description This full-time, on-site Structural Engineer role is based in Clarksville, TN. The Structural Engineer will perform structural analysis and design for new construction and renovation projects, prepare engineering calculations, and develop structural plans and details using CAD software. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing architectural and civil drawings, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring designs comply with building codes, industry standards, and client requirements. The role involves preparing technical reports, design narratives, and construction documents, as well as providing support during construction through submittal review, responding to RFIs, and occasional site visits. The Structural Engineer will work collaboratively within a small team environment, contributing to project planning, quality control, and schedule management.

Qualifications

• Strong technical foundation in Structural Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building and infrastructure projects.

• Proficiency in Structural Analysis and engineering calculations for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.

\n

• Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to create clear, accurate structural drawings and details.

\n

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution; advanced degree is a plus.

• PE licensure or EIT certification.

\n

• Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NDS).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document design decisions and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Ability to work on-site in Clarksville, TN, and conduct periodic field observations as needed.
