You will join a supportive team environment where progression into senior management is encouraged.\n\n Typical Responsibilities Include:\n\nUndertaking detailed design and structural analysis across a variety of building types within the property sector.\nLeading projects and overseeing the work of a dedicated design team.\nProviding guidance, mentoring, and technical direction to junior engineers and technicians.\nRegular communication with architects, contractors, and wider project stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.\nLiaising directly with clients and responding swiftly to technical queries.\nAttending site visits and meetings, contributing to technical reports and design reviews.\nTaking on increasing responsibility as you move toward higher‑level management roles within the business.\nKey Projects You’ll Be Involved In The Cardiff office is currently engaged in a wide range of exciting and challenging developments, including:\n\nRC-framed multi-storey buildings up to 35 floors (hotels, residential, student accommodation)\nNational out-of-town retail developments across the UK\nCustodial facilities and secure government-led projects\nCommercial and mixed-use developments\nMajor hospital builds and extension programmes.\nThese diverse schemes provide strong technical variety and the chance to work on high-profile structural engineering challenges.\n\n What We’re Looking For To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:\n\nA degree (or equivalent) in civil or structural engineering.\nChartered status with ICE or IStructE or actively working toward it.\nProven experience in building structures within a consultancy environment.\nProficiency with industry-standard software such as Tekla, Autodesk, and other analysis tools.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate confidently with internal and external stakeholders.\nA strong understanding of the design and construction process from concept stage through to site delivery.\nWhy Join This Consultancy?
