Structural Engineer\n\nBirmingham outskirts\n\n£40k-£45k plus benefits\n\nOur client, a well-established structural engineering consultancy based on the outskirts of Birmingham, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their growing team.\n\nThis opportunity would suit a degree-qualified engineer with a minimum of five years' post-graduate experience who is looking to take ownership of projects and work with a high degree of autonomy. The successful candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of a diverse range of projects across the education, healthcare, residential and commercial sectors.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nUndertaking structural design and analysis for a variety of building projects\nDesigning all principal structural elements in accordance with current UK standards and regulations\nPreparing structural calculations, technical reports and supporting design documentation\nLiaising with clients, architects, contractors and other members of the design team\nAttending site visits and project meetings as required\nManaging workload effectively and delivering projects with minimal supervision \n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nDegree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering\nMinimum of 5 years' structural engineering experience gained within the UK\nDemonstrable experience designing all major structural elements\nProven ability to work independently and confidently manage projects\nExperience across education, healthcare, residential and commercial developments\nStrong knowledge of UK construction methods, Building Regulations and British Standards\nExcellent communication and organisational skills \n\nOn offer is the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects across multiple sectors and long term career development within an established and respected consultancy.\n\nFor further information or to discuss the opportunity in confidence, please contact Graham Ventham at Conrad Consulting
