About the Role

TX Industrial is an engineering and construction firm serving the Mining, Metals, Cement, Power, Wood Products and Oil & Gas industries. Because we carry projects from design through construction, our structural engineers stay involved after drawings are issued supporting the field, seeing how their designs are built, and carrying those lessons into the next project.

Much of our work supports large capital programs, with total installed costs of $400M and up. The structural scope on these projects is significant, and the engineering decisions carry real weight.

We're looking for a Structural Design Engineer with heavy industrial experience. Someone who is comfortable with the demands of designing for facilities like cement plants and mineral processing operations, and who wants to keep doing that kind of work.

What You'll Do
\n

- Perform structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures for heavy industrial facilities — equipment support structures, pipe racks, platforms, foundations, and buildings
- Develop design calculations, drawings, and specifications from concept through issued-for-construction
- Work directly with project engineers, designers, clients, and construction teams
- Evaluate existing structures for modifications, equipment additions, and retrofits
- Support construction with RFI responses, field walkdowns, and as-built reviews

What We're Looking For
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's a plus)
- 5+ years of structural design experience in the heavy industrial sector: Mining, Metals, Cement, Power, or Oil & Gas
- Strong working knowledge of AISC, ACI, and ASCE 7 design standards
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro)
- Ability to use AutoCad for checking designs and drawings
- Experience designing in both structural steel and reinforced concrete
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound engineering judgment, and communicate clearly with clients and construction personnel
- PE license (or ability to obtain)
