About the Role
GENCO Systems is seeking a qualified Engineer or Architect to provide on-site engineering design and project management support to the 7th Civil Engineer Squadron (7 CES) at Dyess AFB. You will support Facilities, Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM) projects from planning through execution.
- Schedule: Full-time | Mon–Fri, 0730–1630
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain CONFIDENTIAL clearance
- Travel: Minimal — occasional day trips to Snyder, TX or Abilene
Key Responsibilities
• Design and produce plans, specifications, and technical documentation for FSRM projects
• Support strategic planning, project scheduling, and programming/execution conferences
• Prepare formal briefings, program management documents, and Bullet Background Papers (BBPs)
• Perform QA/QC reviews of Architect-Engineer (AE) designs to ensure compliance with base
standards and building codes
• Coordinate with USACE, MAJCOM, and other agencies on technical matters
• Maintain project tracking databases and prepare monthly Project Status Reports (PSRs)
• Ensure compliance with applicable Air Force, federal, and state regulations
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or Architecture — OR — 1
10+ years of thoroughly documented, relevant construction & project management experience in a
lead role
• Ability to plan, organize, and lead studies, designs, and construction projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to negotiate complex issues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and cost estimating software
• Experience with GIS and engineering database tools
• Valid driver's license; ability to operate a vehicle on Dyess AFB paved and gravel roads
