About the Role:



We are recruiting a Structural Engineer to join a growing and collaborative consultancy team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial, residential, and education projects, delivering practical, efficient, and sustainable design solutions from early concept through to construction.



You will work under the guidance of experienced senior engineers, developing your technical skills and gaining exposure to a variety of design challenges across the built environment.



️ Key Responsibilities:



Support the delivery of structural design across multiple project sectors



Undertake calculations, reports, and assist with drawings for steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures



Liaise with clients, architects, and other design team members as part of the project process



Use design software such as Tekla, Tedds, Robot, and Revit to produce accurate and coordinated solutions



Assist with site visits, surveys, and inspections



Ensure designs meet current standards, regulations, and project requirements



Contribute to internal design reviews and knowledge sharing across the team



Requirements:



BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering



2–5 years’ experience working in a UK consultancy environment



Working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE)



Experience designing in multiple materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry)



Familiarity with relevant software and structural design standards



Excellent communication and a collaborative working style



A proactive approach and enthusiasm for developing as an engineer
