We are looking for a Mechanical Digital Engineering (BIM) Coordinator to join our team in the UK Office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering projects within budget, on time, and in alignment with the highest standards and our Digital Engineering (BIM) strategy.Role Purpose:The Structural Digital Engineering (BIM) Technician reports to a Digital Engineering (BIM) Manager and collaborates with all stakeholders cross discipline to achieve ‘best for project’ outcomes.Key Responsibilities: Accountable for the completion of all designated work to programme and budget. Collaborating as part of the Engineering / Project and BIM/Digital Engineering teams to provide the best solution for the client. To provide accurate Engineering design documentation in accordance with Standards and Procedures to an excellent standard. You will have excellent collaboration skills and the ability to build solid working relationships internally and with key stakeholders You will be committed to your own Professional and Personal Development, Competency Adhere to the BIM/Digital Engineering strategy, workflows, processes, standards, etc. as described by the Digital Engineering (BIM) Manager. Specific Experience, Skills & Knowledge: Autocad – both 2D and 3D modelling. Creation of General arrangement drawings/ equipment setting out drawings and modelling of vendor items. Pointcloud viewer softwares. Recap Highly proficient in Autodesk Revit whilst having an understanding of other Autodesk Design Suite software packages. Knowledge of Civil 3D would be an advantage, so would Plant 3D. Autodesk Revit Capability should include but not be limited to: - 3D model generation, collaboration, clash detection and federation General Arrangement, Sections and detailing Steelwork, concrete, masonry and timber detailing Setting out drawings Capability with 4D modelling Creation of families Metadata and properties Knowledge, interpretation and application of relevant client, industry and BIM/Digital Engineering standards, such as ISO19650 Proven ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams and client groups Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely A passion for design and innovation Project a professional image to clients and colleagues. Able to work collaboratively to form strong working relationships with colleagues and clients. Able to recognise own impact on others and adapt approach where appropriate. Demonstrate integrity. Experience of Common Data Environments (CDE) and Collaborative Working Platforms including working and delivering under BIM environments, processes and workflows. Excellent working knowledge of collaboration and federation platforms, especially NavisWorks Previous water industry experience a distinct advantage Qualifications / Skills : Achieved or working towards an EngTech accreditation Excellent communication skills – both oral and written. Team player, cooperative with other staff with open sharing of information and knowledge. Proactive at identifying improvements and quality of outputs Ability to plan, prioritise and organise Ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to meet and agree deadlines. Ability to coach less experienced members of the team Excellent knowledge of BIM/Digital Engineering standards, processes and workflows, complete with many years experience working in BIM/Digital Engineering environments and delivering to BIM/Digital Engineering standards Formal BIM qualifications would be desirable, although not necessary KPIs (Key Performance Indicators): Quality of deliverables Promoting, advocating for and supporting BIM/Digital Engineering delivery of projects Increase efficiencies in design and delivery, and reduce waste (time, money, people, etc) Completion of project deliverables on time and budget Can-do attitude and problem solving capabilities Team player GHD Values: Safety: Prioritizes safety for all.
