Job Title: Structural Designer 1 (0 - 5 years) OR 2 (5 - 7 + years)
Immediate W2 contract position available in Birmingham, AL (Remote Option living within hour drive of Birmingham).
Estimated Duration: 3 years

Job Description:

• Job responsibilities include producing design/fabrication drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and conceptual designs, reviewing vendor shop fabrication drawings, and preparing material takeoffs.
• Two weeks working at the office in the beginning to have computer assigned, set-up and learn the job requirements. Once comfortable with work and team members the individual can work remotely.
• Must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, AL.

Desired Qualifications:

• The Structural Designer 1 position requires 0-5 years heavy industrial/power plant experience.
• The Structural Designer 2 position requires 5-7 years heavy industrial/power plant experience.
• Skillsets and expertise required for this position include proficient using AutoCAD, steel/concrete detailing background is a plus, and the ability to build effective relationships with customers, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
