Role Overview
We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. This is a hands-on role offering close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and installation teams while contributing to the design of complex structural systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret customer specifications and project drawings to ensure design accuracy
- Perform structural analysis and design for specialized engineered systems
- Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers for integrated structural solutions
- Lead and coordinate draftsmen/detailers to produce complete and accurate drawings
- Identify and resolve technical challenges impacting schedule or quality
- Provide technical support to Sales and Estimating teams
- Coordinate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure workflow efficiency and safety
- Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering and operational processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong experience with AutoCAD
- Mid-level structural design experience in industrial or fabrication environments
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor
- 5-year engineering degree
- Experience integrating mechanical and electrical components
- Strong background in reviewing and checking technical drawings
- Experience in structural steel, bridges, cranes, or large exterior structural systems

- Experience working on structural systems such as bridges, large steel frameworks, crane systems, or exterior industrial structures
- Comfortable in a fabrication-driven, hands-on manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented with excellent cross-functional communication skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required
