Position Summary

The Design Engineer performs structural analysis and design for assigned project components and systems under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer. The role supports project delivery through preparation of calculations, coordination of design documentation, and assistance with construction-phase activities while developing technical proficiency in accordance with RCG standards and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities

A.    Technical Execution

• Perform structural analysis, design, and calculations for assigned project components

• Design using steel, stainless steel, aluminum, concrete, precast, masonry, and timber as directed

• Apply company, local, state, and codes and standards to assigned designs

• Prepare clear, complete, and well-documented calculation packages for review

• Reviewing design approach, assumptions, and results with supervising engineer

• Revise calculations and designs based on review comments

B.    Project Coordination & Support

• Support project delivery across all phases from preliminary design through construction documentation

 • Understand assigned project scope, schedule, and budget parameters

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent

Minimum of 3–5 years of structural engineering experience supporting design and documentation

Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license (Pennsylvania ).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency in structural engineering analysis and design software

Working knowledge of applicable structural codes and standards

Ability to prepare clear and complete calculation packages

Proficiency in MS Office

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks under supervision
