Job Description

#27426 Structural Design Engineer

Looking for Structural Engineers/ Engineers — we are currently working with a well-known Engineering consultancy specialising in sectors such as Aviation, sports, Healthcare etc. Our client is looking for skilled engineers with experience in design as well as on-site. This will be working across a complex project based near Bristol.

- Hourly rates Outside IR35 (large rate variation depending on experience).

- 5 days required on site per week

Responsibilities:

Collaborating between the office-based structural team, the site-based teams, the Contractor teams and the wider Stakeholder teams

-Working independently and as part of a team to produce reports and presentations to an excellent standard.

-Share and disseminate work amongst the Site team and the office-based design team.

-Leading the Structural Site team by planning ahead, making decisions and corrective action whilst delivering excellent work.

-Recording and communicating observations and variations of structural site works as they progress

Requirements:

-Extensive experience as a Site-Based Engineer, Engineer or Clerk of Works

-Building Structures design experience.

-Broad and varied structural design experience on major projects, working around British and European codes of practice

-Be a Chartered Member of the ICE or IStructE with the Engineering Council UK or other relevant body

-A Bachelor's degree (BEng / BSc) or a Master's degree (MEng / MSc) in a relevant dicipline

-Ability to provide mentoring to more junior team members as a line manager, and show a willingness to be part
