Overview
Energy Jobline is supporting a major international energy infrastructure programme and is seeking an experienced Structural / Architectural Supervisor to oversee structural and building construction activities within complex energy facilities.
The role will support site construction activities across structural steel installations and architectural works associated with operational buildings and accommodation facilities.
The Role
Reporting to the Deck Construction Superintendent, the Structural / Architectural Supervisor will coordinate and supervise structural steel and architectural construction works on site.
The position will ensure structural and building installations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise fabrication and erection of structural steel components including decks, platforms, pipe racks, trusses, stairs, ladders, and support structures
- Monitor installation activities to ensure alignment, welding, and bolting comply with engineering drawings and relevant standards
- Coordinate lifting and installation of large structural assemblies or modules
- Oversee architectural installation works including internal partitions, flooring systems, wall panels, ceilings, doors, and windows
- Supervise installation of cladding, insulation systems, and weatherproofing elements for building structures
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and HVAC teams to manage building service interfaces
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, construction drawings, and quality requirements
- Participate in inspections, dimensional checks, and verification of installed materials
- Support punch list closure, walkdowns, and preparation for system handover
- Attend site coordination meetings and provide updates on progress, manpower, and construction activities
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of structural steel erection and architectural construction methods
- Experience working on industrial or offshore construction projects
- Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, structural layouts, and architectural plans
- Familiarity with inspection processes, quality control documentation, and construction standards
- Experience coordinating multiple construction disciplines on site
- Strong leadership and communication skills within multicultural project environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in structural or architectural construction supervision
- Experience supporting large infrastructure, energy, or offshore construction projects
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Additional Information
The advertised day rate applies to independent consultants operating on a contract basis. Candidates who prefer to be engaged as employees of the client may be offered a different remuneration structure.
