Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Strategic Workforce Planning Manager to join their HR/People function. This is a highly analytical, insight-driven role requiring expertise in workforce planning, data analysis, and HR management information. The role will involve translating complex HR data into actionable insights and presenting findings to a range of stakeholders, including Board-level audiences.\n\nThe ideal candidate will be confident working with large datasets, developing dashboards and automated reporting solutions, and supporting workforce planning processes that align with organisational strategy.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Provide support to understand future workforce requirements, identify trends, and forecast capability gaps.\n\n * \n\n Analyse large, complex HR datasets and develop actionable insights for stakeholders.\n\n * \n\n Identify opportunities to improve workforce planning processes and implement enhancements.\n\n * \n\n Support the business support office with contractor procurement and assist business functions with recruitment.\n\n * \n\n Produce management information (MI) on staffing levels versus demand and support creation of capacity and capability plans.\n\n * \n\n Integrate new workforce planning processes and tools into business-as-usual operations.\n\n * \n\n Resolve staffing issues across projects and initiatives, planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on portfolio demand activities.\n\n * \n\n Present HR and workforce insights clearly to non-analytical audiences, including senior management.\n\n * \n\n Advise and influence stakeholders using data-driven insights.\n\n * \n\n Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reporting solutions.\n\n * \n\n Identify workforce risks and recommend practical solutions.\n\nEssential Skills & Experience\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in Strategic Workforce Planning.\n\n * \n\n Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, automation).\n\n * \n\n Power BI dashboard creation and automated reporting experience.\n\n * \n\n Broad understanding of HR Management Information (MI) and data presentation.\n\n * \n\n Ability to translate complex technical data into clear insights for multiple audiences.\n\n * \n\n Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.\n\n * \n\n Experience working in an HR team environment.\n\nWorking Environment\n\n * \n\n Analytical and insight-driven HR team setting.\n\n * \n\n Requires both technical expertise and strategic thinking.\n\n * \n\n Role involves influencing decision-making through workforce insights and data-driven recommendations
