Job Summary

Dentive is looking for a Strategic Operations Manager who will serve as a key player of the Dentive Operations Team. This role requires a proactive leader with a blend of strategic thinking and operational expertise, capable of managing large-scale projects and optimizing operational workflows across a multi-location network.

Essential Functions

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that support the overall growth and financial goals of the group of practices.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities for growth, cost savings, and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead the implementation of new initiatives and best practices to optimize practice performance across all locations.

Financial Management

  • Monitor financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting for all practices, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify areas for improvement and propose data-driven recommendations.
  • Support practices in the management of key financial metrics, including revenue, costs, and profitability.

Operational Excellence & Efficiency

  • Ensure consistent operational standards and best practices are followed across all practices, driving efficiency and scalability.
  • Review and optimize key operational processes such as staffing, scheduling, patient flow, inventory management, and technology integration.
  • Implement process improvements and lead initiatives that enhance operational workflows, reduce waste, and improve patient experience.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of each practice and the group as a whole.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with practice managers and leadership to discuss achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on the operational performance, financial health, and growth progress of the practices.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor operational teams at the practice level to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to ensure staff are equipped to meet operational and financial targets.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Growth & Expansion Support

  • Support the integration of new practices into the group, including operational alignment, training, and ensuring consistency in procedures and standards.
  • Identify opportunities for geographic or service-line expansion and work with leadership to execute on growth strategies.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure all practices adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks across the group of practices.
  • Promote and enforce industry best practices to ensure patient safety, quality care, and adherence to legal and ethical standards.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, ideally within a multi-location healthcare or service-based organization.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing operational strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence and align teams around strategic objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with practice leaders, staff, and senior management.


Skills:

  • Experience with healthcare management systems (e.g., EHR, practice management software).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements within the healthcare industry.
  • Project management experience (certifications such as PMP are a plus).

Physical /Other Requirements

  • This role may require up to 25% travel
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Employees must exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, vision, and field of vision.
