This role is critical to ensuring that our storage partners deliver reliable, high-performance, and scalable solutions that meet CoreWeave's infrastructure and customer needs. The TPM will also work with them on roadmap planning, incident management, and bug fixing.
The Technical Program Manager will:
- Drive end-to-end storage vendor management, including relationship building, performance tracking, and roadmap alignment across key partners.
- Manage vendor accountability and lifecycle activities, from proof-of-concept and lab validation to production onboarding and ongoing support.
- Coordinate NPI processes for storage systems, ensuring readiness, validation, and alignment across engineering, hardware, and supply chain teams.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through alternative sourcing strategies and proactive tracking of hard-to-get components.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering on new SKU development, hardware qualification, and test rack setup to validate new configurations.
- Partner with finance and supply chain to manage cost models, budget forecasting, and delivery timelines.
- Run retrospectives and continuous improvement cycles, driving learnings back into program structure, process, and vendor engagement.
- Provide incident post mortem and escalation support for high-priority customer issues, ensuring rapid triage, root cause analysis, and resolution coordination.
- Track and improve vendor-driven reliability metrics (e.g., failure rates, MTTR, firmware stability).
- Ensure vendors meet SLAs, SLOs, and quality expectations.
- Own program task management and tracking, including structure, reporting, and hygiene of Jira workflows, dashboards, and filters.
- Conduct regular business reviews to drive visibility and accountability.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role in infrastructure and highly cross-functional environments
- Proven experience managing cross-functional programs involving hardware, software, and operations teams.
- Hands-on experience with vendor and supply chain management, including roadmap alignment and performance tracking.
- Proficiency with program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and dashboards for tracking project health and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution, manage dependencies, and communicate effectively across technical and business teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and measure outcomes.
- Proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives with attention to detail and a bias for action.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of storage systems, data infrastructure, or distributed computing environments.
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management within large-scale infrastructure, data center, or cloud environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise storage technologies and vendors (e.g., PureStorage, VAST, WEKA, IBM).
- Experience leading NPI or hardware development programs from concept through production.
- Proven track record of risk management, incident response coordination, and continuous improvement in production environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills across engineering, product, supply chain, and vendor teams.
