Job description:

Extreme Steel, Inc. is a growing AISC certified miscellaneous metals/ structural steel fabricator and erector in the DC, VA & MD areas. We are currently looking for Fitter / Fabricators to help with assembling components for production.

Primary duties include:

• Measuring, laying out, aligning, and fitting fabricated metal work according to blueprints.
• Positioning metal work with overhead crane or forklift.
• Preparing steel for welding using grinder, etc.
• Welding in accordance with the blueprints and specifications.
• Finishing metal work (clean slag, splatter, or excess weld)
• Cleaning and housekeeping activities.

Must have at least 3 years’ experience in Structural Steel Fitting / Fabrication

Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, and lift up to 50 lbs.

High school diploma or GED (but not required).

Hours:

• Day shift hours are 4am – 2:30pm Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturdays
• Second shift hours are 2pm-12:30am Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturdays

Compensation will be determined based on experience and skill level.

Must have own transportation.
