Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout Us

Are you ready to build the future of supply chain? At Gather AI, we're not just creating software; we're pioneering a new era of warehouse intelligence. We've developed a groundbreaking, vision-powered platform that uses autonomous drones and existing equipment to capture real-time data, completely digitizing workflows that have historically been manual and error-prone. This means facilities operate smarter, safer, and more efficiently, ultimately redefining "on-time, in full" delivery.

If you're looking for an opportunity to contribute to truly transformative technology and make a significant impact in a vital industry, Gather AI is the place for you. We're leading the charge in the rapidly evolving robotics industry, and we invite you to join us in reshaping the global supply chain, one intelligent warehouse at a time.

  • Design, implement, and test vision-based and multi-sensory state estimation systems.
  • Conduct on-site visits to early customer locations to test and validate system performance in real-world environments.
  • Proactively exercise the application in real-world scenarios, identifying areas for architectural enhancement and implementing improvements to vehicle/pallet state estimation and task tracking logic/workflow screens.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to physical hardware that may impact software performance, such as advising on camera positioning or mitigating vibration problems.
  • Work closely with the Material Handling Equipment team and our talented deployment engineering team to ensure that the product is delivering value to our customers.

What You'll Need

  • At least five years of relevant software development experience (outside academia).
  • Experience leading technical projects that span software and hardware.
  • Strong mathematical background, ideally with robotics experience including state estimation, computer vision, or other relevant complex/dynamic systems.
  • Strong C++ coding skills, ready to hit the ground running, contribute efficiently to the project, and read/improve code.
  • Comfort with Linux/command-line tooling, remote debugging, etc.
  • Ability to be pragmatic, fast, and attentive to detail.
  • Strong and precise communication skills.
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree (MS or PhD ).
  • Able to work in the US.
  • Willing to undertake required travel.
  • Ability to work locally in Pittsburgh ( or willing to relocate).

Bonus points for...

  • Visual and multi-modal robot state estimation experience, and/or strong relevant mathematical background.
  • Familiarity with OS and Network Infrastructure.
  • Experience with ROS, ROS2, or other robotics middleware.

Compensation and Benefits
