Staff Engineer Applications
In your new role you will: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Customer Application Engineers to deliver high-quality technical support and guidance to customers. Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide expert guidance on the selection and implementation of Infineon products. Oversee technical engagements with key customers, providing guidance and support on complex technical challenges and ensuring timely resolution. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as a technical escalation point and ensuring effective communication and resolution of technical issues. Define and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the CAE team's performance and enhance customer satisfaction. Support customers with product integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure successful implementation. Collaborate with internal engineering teams to address customer-specific technical challenges and provide customized solutions. Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal engineering, marketing, and sales teams. Provide feedback to internal teams based on customer interactions to drive product improvement and innovation. Contribute to the creation of technical documentation for customers. Stay updated on industry trends, market requirements, and competitive landscape to provide valuable insights to internal teams. You are best equipped for this task if you have: 3+ years of experience in semiconductor industry or application Engineering Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering, or related field with a focus on embedded systems and firmware development. Proficiency in writing code in C language; Debug and modify the code written on C/python. Proficiency in relevant tools and software for circuit simulation Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex system behaviour to optimize hardware and firmware performance. Experience with microcontroller architectures, digital signal processors, and familiarity with communication interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, PMBUS, CAN). Experience in firmware development for power electronics applications, including motor control, power conversion, and energy management. Experience and knowledge in motor control algorithms (FOC, trapezoidal, V/F, BEMP) is an added advantage. Deep understanding of control loop design for power converters is an added advantage. Should be able to work with Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Protocol Analyzers, etc. for testing & debugging. Knowledge on basic hardware, sensing circuits and understanding of schematics and PCB Layout. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, internal teams, and senior management.
